To deliver programs that provide an opportunity for athletes to learn, train and compete in the sport of wrestling.

Legendary wrestling coach Dan Gable said, "Once you've wrestled, everything else is easy." Wrestling is an amazing sport that forges the necessary character traits required to succeed in life and sport including:

Our approach encourages athletes to take on challenges, to overcome adversity and strive to achieve their potential in life and sport.

History

The Weyburn Wrestling Club began in 1996 as a junior high team and quickly grew to become a community club with elementary and high school programs for boys and girls age 5-17.

 

Athletes practice 2-3 days per week and have opportunities to compete in regional, provincial and national tournaments sanctioned by Sask Wrestling, Wrestling Canada and the Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association.

The Weyburn Wrestling Club a registered not-for-profit organization and an active member of Sask Wrestling. In addition to the regular practice schedule, the club hosts an annual training camp and tournament each year.
