2020/2021 SEASON UPDATE | COVID-19
As of June 14, 2020, no guidelines have been provided for the sport of wrestling to resume training and/or competition activities in the province of Saskatchewan.
At the earliest, guidelines may be provided in Phase 4.2 of the provincial government’s “Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan” for wrestlers to return to the mats. However, there are no certainties at this time.
COVID-19 has created a very fluid situation where things can change quickly. No timelines or dates are available at this time.
The Weyburn Wrestling Club Board of Directors are working closely with Sask Wrestling and Sask Sport and will update our members with any news regarding when the club will be able to resume.
Welcome to the Weyburn Wrestling Club
Our mission is to provide an opportunity for athletes to
learn, train and compete in the sport of wrestling.
Practices are held 2-3 nights/week from September-March for boys and girls age 5-17.
Every practice is ran by a Wrestling Canada certified coach.
The club is located in the gym at Soo Line Daycare (formerly Elgin School), where we have a permanent 2400 square foot wrestling room set up to facilitate practices and clinics.
Athletes have the opportunity to participate in local, provincial and national tournaments through both the Saskatchewan Amateur Wrestling Association and the Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association.
